PROBLEM
Economy:
The main activity is agriculture and livestock but with very low levels of productivity.
Low living standards:
Huancabamba is at the top of extreme poverty with very high rates of infant and maternal mortality, chronic malnutrition than 70% of children under 4 years.
Education:
With an illiteracy rate exceeding 45%.
Housing and infrastructure services:
Over 90% of households lack drinking water, sanitation, waste disposal and electrical system.
Geographical inaccessibility:
Poor road infrastructure means that the 270km distance to the city of Piura take more than 8h. The population living in rural communities takes several hours on foot to travel to the city of Hbba and services.
Violence against women:
have high rates of family violence, physical abuse, sexual and psychological, with the aggravating factor that few dare to denounce this situation.
Public administration:
The failure of Social and Economic Policy as well as suffer from insufficient quality and warmth.
State's existing programs such as the Together program, so that the poorest families with children receive S/100 per month (about 25 euros) or Vaso de Leche Program in which primary school children receive a glass of milk a day do nothing but perpetuate a situation where instead of promoting development is at the very welfare.
